  1. First, you need to go to settings, which you will find in the top right corner.

  2. Inside settings, you need to select "First Approver" under approval flow.

  3. Here, you can choose between different rules. The active rules are the one(s) at the top, while those below marked as inactive are not being used. If you want to move some rules from inactive to active, simply hover the mouse over the rule you wish to move and drag it up to the active rules with the mouse.

  4. Click on Sender.

  5. In the 'Sender' field, you need to select a sender, in the 'Received Method' field you have to chose between email, drag&drop or mobile as the received method, and a first approver 'Group'. If a document comes into Nordflow from the sender you have chosen via the received method, then the rule will trigger and the 'Group' you have selected will be chosen as the first approver.

  6. In this example, I have selected 'Petertest@ecit.com' as the sender, 'Email' as the received method, and 'Nordflow Group' as the first approver group. If a document comes into Nordflow from 'Petertest@ecit.com' as an 'Email' then the first approver group will be 'Nordflow Group'. If 'Petertest@ecit.com' is not the sender, then the standard rules will be applied.

Once you have selected a Sender, Received Method and a Group. Then click on the add button and the rule will be created.

  7. Remember the active rules are the one(s) at the top, while those below marked as inactive are not being used. If you want to move some rules from inactive to active, simply hover the mouse over the rule you wish to move and drag it up to the active rules with the mouse.
