- First, you need to go to settings, which you will find in the top right corner.
- Inside settings, you need to select "First Approver" under approval flow.
Here, you can choose between different rules. The active rules are the one(s) at the top, while those below marked as inactive are not being used. If you want to move some rules from inactive to active, simply hover the mouse over the rule you wish to move and drag it up to the active rules with the mouse.
Click on department.
In the 'Department' field, you need to select a department. If this department is chosen within the approval flow, it will trigger the rule to assign the 'Group' you select as the first approver.
In this example, I have selected 'Nordflow Group' as the first approver if the department is 'Test Department.' If the 'Test Department' is not chosen on the document inside the approval flow, then the standard rules will be applied.
